Wine Tannin also known as Tannorogue Powder comes from the Sweet Chestnut and is mainly used for red wines to add zest and help preserve the wine. Beside bouquet enhancing properties this product also has a stabilising effect on anthocyans (red pigments). Best added at the start of fermentation. Typical usage is 1 to 3 gms per 10 litres (one level teaspoon per gallon). Add to must when cooling and stir 2-3 times daily for 4-5 days.
