This Tom Caxton Dark Real Ale beer making kit makes a rich, warming and satisfying dark ale with an ABV of between 4 and 4.5%.

These Tom Caxton kits are made from the finest malted barley and are supplied with a hop enhancement sachet. By adding the unique hop extract sachet, you’ll give your beer a wonderful aroma of country hops.

This kit contains:

Full instructions
1 x tin of malt extract
1 x sachet of brewing yeast
1 x hop enhancement sachet
Makes approximately 40 pints (23 litres)

In order to make this kit you may need:

Sterilizing powder
Brewers bucket
Water
Sugar, Spray malt or beer enhancer
Syphon
Priming sugar for the barrel or bottles
Hydrometer
Bottles or Barrel

Please note all necessary equipment is available in our #6 Kit - Premium Beermaking Set (if you want to use a Keg) or our #4 Kit - Winemaking Set and some bottles if you want to bottle it after brewing.
