Citra is an extremely popular American variant. It is a cross between Hallertau Mittelfrüh, U.S. Tettnanger, East Kent Goldings, Bavarian, Brewers Gold and other unknown hops. It has a strong citrus aroma and flavour and has become the most popular of the American dual purpose hops.

Hop pellets are destalked ground hops pressed into little pellets. Use about 10% less than you would when using leaf hops with a similar alpha level. Hop pellets can be preserved longer and are usually available for a longer period of time during the course of the season.
