First Gold is a modern British variety known for it's versatility and distinctive arome. It produces a well-balanced bitterness and a fruity, slightly spicy note in ales with a zesty orange quality which gives a marmalde fruitiness to a brew.

First Gold is a dwarf hop bred at Wye College, on extensive farm trials in 1995 from a cross-pollination of WGV with a dwarf male. Much of the flavour of WGV seems to have been retained but with an added extra citrus quality.

These UK grown top brewing industry quality leaf hops (also known as hop flowers and hop cones) have been vacuum packed in a heavy duty resealable pouch with a tamper proof seal to preserve their freshness and quality.
