SG Wines Platinum Chardonnay makes an elegant, well-balanced white wine with subtle fruit complexity, a clean finish and an ABV of 10.5%. 

Each kit contains 5 litres of quality grape juice concentrate, yeast, yeast nutrient, stabiliser, finings and full instructions. There is no need to add any extra sugar to these kits, the only thing you will need to add is water.

The Solomon Grundy range of wine kits has been brought right up to date and re-branded and are now called SG Wines.

The juice is now in a nitrogen-flushed pouch rather than a plastic bottle so it doesn't deteriorate. This change has gone through rigorous quality checks and taste tests to ensure that you can continue to enjoy the wine you love. The winemaking process remains the same, but with clearer instructions included inside the kit and the way the wine kit is packaged has been updated too with a new design to the box.

The SG Wines Platinum range offers a 7 day wine kit where you start the fermentation on day 1, it’s finished by day 5 and is cleared and ready to drink by day 7.
