Wheat Malt is generally used to produce specialist beers like the famous Weissbiers / Wheat Beers from Southern Germany and similar top fermenting beers as well as being excellent when used for brewing lagers.

It is also very useful when mixed with other malts for brewing ales and bitters as it has extremely good head retention qualities and a dry biscuity flavour. It is wheat malt which provides the distinctive flavour and the mouth feel of Wheat Beers.

Wheat malt should be used sparingly in ales and bitters (no more than 10% of total malt content of your brew) but can make up to 1/3 or more of the total malt contant of lagers and other top fermenting beers and at between 50 and 80% for Wheat Beers and Weissbiers.

This malt is produced by Warminster Malts, has a colour of between 3.5 and 5 EBCs and is supplied ready crushed in 500gm, 1Kg, 3Kg and 5Kg packs and 25Kg sacks.
