These 5 Litre Glass Demi-Johns are made from traditional glass for hygenic use and ease of cleaning. Supplied complete with two rubber bungs - one bored to take a standard sized airlock, the other solid (unbored) to be used if storing the brew in the demi-john when fermentation is complete - and a 6 chamber bubbler airlock.

NOTE: These fermenting vessles are NOT pressure vessels and so some method of pressure release (e.g. an airlock) must always be used. The stopper bung should only be used once there is no opportunity for further fermentation. When filling, please remember that the fermenting yeast often produces a froth and space should be allowed for this.
