These beer kits are on special offer as they have a best before date of 30th April 2024, however they will still be perfectly good to make up and use for at least 3 months after this date.

Muntons have been supplying the brewing world with their high quality malts for over 100 years, during which time they have learnt a thing or two about the brewing process so now they are bringing the best of their knowledge to home craft brewers with their new Tap Room Series - the taproom that comes to you with a range of limited edition, contemporary, unique craft beer kits created by Muntons master brewers.

Muntons will introduce only a limited number (one production batch) of each beer style and will then replace it with another on-trend beer once each style sells through, with a maximum of 4 beer styles on the market at any one time, keeping the range exciting and diverse.

Muntons Tap Room Simply The Zest Lemon Radler is the third of these offerings. Radler (meaning cyclist in German) is a style of beer invented in Deisenhofen, Germany back in June 1922. A local inn keeper created a bike trail from nearby Munich to his tavern attracting 13,000 cyclists in one day. To keep the cyclists safe on their trip back to the city the innkeeper brewed a low ABV, refreshing beer now known as the Radler. Nowadays the Radler has become the perfect summer beer being refeshing and full of flavour but with an ABV of only 3%.

Light and refreshingly zesty, Simply the Zest perfectly represents the British Summertime in a bottle.

  • Does not require the addition of any sugar

This kit contains:

  • Easy step-by-step instruction guide
  • 1 x 1.5Kg can of barley malt extract with hop extract and natural lemon flavouring
  • 1 x 6g sachet of premium dried yeast
  • Makes approximately 35 Pints

In order to make this kit you may need:

  • Sterilizing powder
  • Brewers bucket
  • Water
  • Syphon
  • Hydrometer
  • Long stirring spoon
  • Measuring jug
  • Carbonation drops / priming sugar
  • Bottles or Barrel

Please note all necessary equipment is available in our #6 Kit - Premium Beermaking Set (if you want to use a Keg) or our #4 Kit - Winemaking Set and some bottles if you want to bottle it after brewing.
